Bad Eyesight? What Are You Not Willing To See?

Eyestrain is a problem a lot of us live with. We love spending hours in front of our computer screens and often don't even realise how many hours pass by as we are glued to our screens. Worsening eyesight, even at an early age, is an accepted fait accompli. Add to that social conditioning that has instilled in us the belief that after a certain age our eyes can only get worse, even though there is evidence that this need not be the case, our eyes are having a tough job keeping up.

The fact that large parts of the population are happy wearing glasses may be good news for opticians and spectacle manufacturers, but it is a bind for most of us who a getting increasingly dependant on glasses as time goes on. However, this is not the only problem, because worsening eyesight affects our minds too.

Why is this so?

Our eyes are the window to the world, Everything we see is metabulated by the mind at some level. Decreasing vision, which often also mean decreasing peripheral vision means that we take in less of our environment. Our world literally becomes smaller. I am sure you are aware how older people increasingly live in their own world. We contribute this to the mind shutting down, the body getting less agile and so on. Weakening eyesight is a major contributor to decreasing mental faculties.

Fortunately alternative medicine has come a long way to help matters. For example, you can buy eye sprays now which relieve some eye problems. They do not cure incorrect use of your eyes though, nor do they train us to change our habits to help maintain our vision.

Particularly in the office, if you are mainly doing close up work, proper pacing is of the essence. You can train your eyes in the same way you train your body to adopt better behaviour. I know that might sound like hard work, but this need not the case when you use the modern energy techniques, which are available now.

Re-training your eyes could actually be deceptively simple. All that is required is a little persistence and five minutes per day learning energy exercises focusing on your eyes.

I have had poor eyesight all my life, I was born with an eye problem and told that I would never drive a car. Well not only do I drive, I often drive without glasses and spend many hours in front of my computer each day.

When I discovered energy therapy some years ago an entire new world opened up for me. Before working on my patients, I would experiment on myself with new techniques. My eyes were an obvious target. I quickly found out that simply by using a technique called EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique I would get relief from fatigued eyes and I could improve my vision as well.During the course of my experiments I soon learned that my eye problems often got worse when I faced a problem which I deemed too difficult to look at. Facing unresolved problems would make me very stressed and anxious. Using EFT I would focus on my eyes and virtually look the problem in the eye. I soon relaxed and the problems seemed less urgent or severe and my eyesight improved too. Today I use a short EFT eye routine daily which helps me to pace myself and my eyes throughout the day.

Now, what is EFT?

To my mind, it is probably the most effective of the energy techniques out there. EFT is simple, powerful and effective.

When using EFT you focus the mind on a specific problem whilst at the same time tapping with your fingertips on a number of meridians stimulating the body's energy system. Mind focus together with physical tapping is a very fast and effective way to change your vibrational energy almost instantaneously. As you feel your energetic levels change you are blasting away any resistance to changing your state. At this point healing occurs. You also move effortlessly into Problem Solving Mode. You then continue tapping focusing on the issue you wish to resolve. You have tuned into the vibrational frequency of your problem.

EFT is easy and quick to learn. It is versatile and can be used on anything, I encourage you to try it on your eyes and you may be surprised as you solve a few other problems in due course as well, all aiding your wellbeing.
